Special URLs

Special URLs are fixed addresses of Xanti functions, such as logging in or searching. They don't belong to a page, but you can link to them, for example from the menu.

Choosing a special URL

  1. For a menu item, click Choose URL, or in the editor click the chain (Link).
  2. In the window, click Special URLs on the left, below the folders.
  3. You see a list with a title and a URL, for example Login and /logon. Click the URL you want and click Choose (for a menu item) or OK (in the editor).

You can also type the address yourself. Then put the address of your website in front of it, for example https://www.example.com/logon.

The English and Dutch names with the language in front also work, such as /en/search, /nl/zoeken, /en/login, /nl/inloggen and /nl/uitloggen.

Other useful addresses

These addresses are not in the list, but work on every website:

URL What it does
/admin The admin.
/totp-setup Turning on or managing two-factor authentication for your own account. You must be logged in.
/sitemap.xml The list of pages for search engines such as Google.
/ip Your own IP address. Useful when the helpdesk asks for it.

Want to go to a certain page after logging in or out? Put ?refer= and the address of that page after it, for example /logout?refer=/contact.

In the admin

The list also has a few addresses that start with Admin:, such as Admin: Birthdays. They only work for webmasters and open an overview in the admin. So don't put them in the menu of your website.
