What is Xanti AI?
With Xanti AI, an AI assistant such as Claude works in your own website. You ask in plain language, "put the holiday opening hours on the contact page", and the assistant does it in the admin, as one of your users.
What the assistant can do
The assistant works through the Xanti API with an API token, or with a connection that you approve yourself. As far as the user's API policy allows, it can then:
- read and search items and folders, and see which fields an item type has;
- add, change, move, duplicate and sort items;
- delete items (they go to the Trash) and restore items from the trash;
- upload images and attach files to an item;
- view the history of an item.
What the assistant cannot do
- Do more than the user may do. The assistant has exactly the permissions and admin folders of the user the connection was made for.
- Read or change passwords and other secret fields.
- Open password folders, make API tokens or change the API policy.
- Change settings, unless the user is a developer.
Everything can be traced
Every change is in the history of the item, in the name of the user of the connection. You also see them in the Change History. You restore an earlier version just like a change you made yourself. Deleted items are in the Trash.
What the assistant reads goes to the provider of that assistant. So give a connection only the permissions it needs, for example Read only if the assistant only has to answer questions about your website.
Who can use Xanti AI?
Only a user in the API group with an API policy can connect an assistant. A developer sets up this group and the policy. If you want to use Xanti AI, contact Telartis.
